Fashions...from Sam's Club? You Betcha!

Well, who could resist these cute shorts for my goddaughter Ada?

Not I.

She’ll be the cutest almost 3 year old in the world in these!

I love it when I run across cute stuff in the craziest places - like Sam’s Club.  For super cheap.

I hope her momma has some neon cutesy tops to go with these!

Sweet Ada Jael

I took this three generations picture two years ago.  Meet Ada Jael.

Friday found us trekking towards DFW, giving a friend a ride home.
Saturday morning?  9 a.m.?  At our beautiful goddaughter’s 2nd birthday party.  I can't believe she's two.  I was with her mommy in the delivery room when she was born.  Time flies!

Here’s the little cake-faced darling now, beautiful Ada Jael.

Saturday morning until late afternoon?  ThatManILove and Ada’s mommy shopped for the perfect mattress, and perfect trundle mattress, comforter, sheets, shams, and perfect bunky boards for Ada’s bed (that I had purchased for a mere $100).  I’m not going to speculate how much dinero he dropped.  Nothing’s too good for baby Ada!
Is she beautiful, or what?

We were exhausted by nightfall…and had to go eat at Fish Grill at Arlington Highlands.  It was wonderful.

Sunday, we headed back to Dallas to our friends’ house and stayed the night.  We had a great time, and talk about carbs - almost everything we cooked that night was fried.
Monday morning, we headed to Kilgore to look at some flowback and wellhead equipment.  It was fun, a beautiful shop and business, with super preventative maintenance plans and a great repair facility.  These guys are definitely starting their business out the right way!
And...I was blessed to see my cousins for a bit!  I sure miss them! We spent that night with friends, and had a good time. Headed home yesterday morning. A good trip!

Tuesday Randomness

  • It’s 6:44 a.m., I’m on the back porch, awaiting this sunrise and writing this profound post that you’re currently reading.  When the sun rises, the squirrels will come out, and the daily morning saga between the Wonderdogs and the Squirrels will begin.  Come watch!
  • We worked on my upper body and arms at the gym this morning. (Notice the “We” worked on Me?  That’s how it goes, V’Lesha is a taskmaster, but the language of it all makes me giggle.)  I’m gonna be whining tomorrow!
  • ThatManILove starts a new gig this week, and he’s excited about it.  Me, too!
  • We dined at the Petroleum Club last night with customers and co-workers.  Prime Rib Monday is definitely a good thing.  We’ll be back!
  • I just realized that out of the last week, I’ve not had one day that I wasn’t entertaining customers.  Do salespeople ever get a day off?
  • I sprung my Wonderdogs out of Doggie Day Care yesterday and my bill was over $500 just for the last two weeks of travel.  I almost swallowed my tongue.  Wonder if I can get my employer to pay for that?  I can see Doggie Day Care as an expensed item...can’t you?
  • This morning when I went to the gym it was already 74 degrees at 4:49 a.m.  Something about that just isn’t right.  But one thing I know - the sky will be beautiful. Even with all those ripply heat waves emanating from the ground, the West Texas Sky is gorgeous.
  • I must rise from my comfy chair and attack my day.  People to see, places to be!  Have an awesome day, my gentle readers!
  • PS - Enjoy this photo of my sweet goddaughter, Ada!  She found plenty to explore in our hotel room during her visit!

Babyface

Between July the 4th and now, it's been baby, baby, babies...and that's on top of my real job!

I love photography, and I love kiddos, so how can I go wrong?

Baby Ada, our goddaughter, showing off in her 1st Birthday outfit!
And her new favorite thing, pointing. She turns one - today!

Little Ryder, ten days old, sleeping serenely on a basket.  What??

Way more comfy now.

With his sweet mommy, Julie.  I met Julie when she was 5, she's in her early 20's now.  Time flies!

Baby Yandel, son of friends.  So cute!

Little Mali with her mom, Whitney. So beautiful!

When you have a hobby like this, it's great when friends come by and bring their mini-me's!

Thankful Tuesday...Our GodDaughter Ada, Her Mom, and Grandmom

One happy Ada!
Sunday on the way home from Dallas, we stopped and had lunch with our friends.  I thought I'd share pictures from our day with them.  Brave, I know, to take my camera into a busy restaurant like Gloria's cafe, but I'm soooo glad I did.  Enjoy!

Baby Ada checking out "The Godfather"...

Ada and her grandmother.  Aren't they gorgeous?
The baby is Ada...and happens to be our god-daughter.  We love her, and are so blessed her mom chose us to be her godparents!  Ada's mom and grandmother are some of our best friends, and have been for years.  Her cute little hat goes with a new outfit we brought her.  (If the hat's that cute, you know the outfit is darling!)
Her little hands are tiny....

Wait!  Who stole my camera???

She doesn't miss a thing.

Ada and her mommy.  Beautiful, both of them!

I love this shot of ThatManILove!  He's just listening...
Someday, we'll have grandkids that we can spoil.   Until then, we have little Ada.  All I can say is it looks like she'll have years to go before she has to share us!!!  We're so thankful for this portion of our extended family.  Have a beautiful Tuesday!  Why are you thankful?

I Am Soooooo Blessed.
