Here's To A Happy New Year 2015 For You and Yours!

It’s been an awesome year for our household.  I’m expecting nothing less in 2015.

Which says a lot, given the price of oil has tanked.  My hope, however, is in the Lord.  He is our provision…our peace…our Savior.

2014 was a year of great restoration for us, in that we were reconciled to our younger son, and blessed to meet all three of our beautiful grandkids.  By the way, have I told you, they all hung the moon?  We are totally in love with our grands and I so get it now when people say all the goofy grandparent things…I so get it.

Zack and Zanna the Wonderdogs are both thriving and doing well.  They continue to provide us a huge sense of enjoyment…I believe our boys still swear that the Wonderdogs have stolen their inheritance.  And they may be right.  I swear, I think Zack gets younger every year…but the gray on his muzzle tells another tale. He still acts like a pup most of the time, though.

I was introduced to Young Living Essential Oils at the first of 2014, and we have fallen in love with the benefits of living healthy with the oils.  They’re an amazing God gift to us, and we love all the people we’ve come in contact with because of the oils.

Work has been a joy for us, we both love what we do in this crazy energy industry.  God is good.

The Lord has knit us into many relationships in the past year, and we are totally enjoying the healthy flow of those relationships.

It’s been a very good year.  Thanks for being a part of it!

I pray you good health, peace, prosperity, great friends, and most of all, many blessings in 2015. May the Lord bless you and keep you and yours.

The Blessing of Sons

The weekend is over, and I’m trying to think up blogging topics.  Instead, I’m thinking about the blessing that our boys are.

Younger Son just left our house, headed back to his house.  Elder Son is roping somewhere around San Antonio.

I miss them both.

Over the last 15 years, our blended family has experienced seasons of laughter, togetherness, and celebration.  We have also experienced estrangement, lack of communication, seasons of agony and worry and despair.  We’re just like any other family in those areas.  Thank God the good times outweigh the bad, and Love?  Love heals.

Love. Heals.

So, today, I’m thankful that we’re all in communication.  Thankful that our sons know, without a shadow of a doubt, that we love them unconditionally.  And that we will always love them and always, always, always, be their biggest fans.

So, with that being said, I’d like to say to them:

As y’all go about your respective endeavors today, remember this: We Love You.  We love each of you individually, and we love you both. We are thankful you have become brothers, and that you love each other.  We are thankful for each of you, as our sons, and as each of you, as men.

Continue to do what you do, as always, with excellence.  We are here, cheering you both on.

Blessings To You and Yours

It’s Christmas Eve. We’ll be headed towards a new year soon, and I’ve been reflecting. Remembering the ups and downs of the last year, the tears and thankfully, the laughter. The blessings that have been showered down upon my life - my husband, my sons, my daughter-in-law, our wonderful grandchildren and godchildren, and our crazy dogs. Woven between all those strands of the tapestry that is Mi Vida Loca are each of you, my bloggy friends.

I have laughed with you, travailed for you, and cried with you. I’ve celebrated with you, and for you. I’ve prayed with you, and sometimes, have screamed out your name to the Heavenlies because I didn't know what else to do and thought the good Lord might need a little reminder that you needed a miracle. (I know, He gets a kick out of me, He has to - he designed me!)

And you, my friends? You’ve been with me, every step of the way. Traveling with me on my many trips across this nation, making calls with me. Having adventures beyond compare. Never will I forget the support you showed me when I experienced the layoff way back in the day, or the the way you celebrated when I took another job. How y'all propped us up with your love when we lost our beautiful Zoie the Wonder Pup.  Or how you support me when ThatManILove is working away from town. How you encouraged me to go away with ThatManILove and take much needed time for ourselves - time that changed us and melded us.

I have been greatly blessed by the gifts I’ve received. Never could have I imagined making friends like you - some of you, I’ve not even met in real life - but God, The Lord Almighty, is good. He gives great gifts...and you are a such gift to me.

Merry Christmas to you and yours. May you be blessed beyond compare in this next year. As for me? I bless you. I bless you with love, life, health, friends - and laughter.

May you hear the music specifically designed for your life...and dance. Baby, dance!!

Much love. Much much love,
