Mother and Daughter

Saturday, at the API Team Roping, I ran into a young friend with her newborn daughter.  She was watching her husband, her daddy and her uncle rope.  This mommy and daughter were beautiful together. They were surrounded by both sets of grandparents, and an aunt and uncle. (The family that ropes together stays together!)

I’ve known this young lady and her family for years.  I’ve watched she and her sister grow up and mature to be beautiful, responsible adults. I know their parents are so proud of both of these girlies, and this new little one has captured all their hearts.

I was asked to have my camera with me yesterday to take winner photos, and snagged a couple of shots.  When I uploaded these images last night, my heart swelled again to see the love this young mother has for her beautiful daughter. I thought you'd be blessed to see the love, as well.

I am so very thankful that the Lord has given me eyes to see, and the talent to capture what I see.

Matthew 13:16  “But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.

Well Planned Gifts Never Go Astray

I love a thoughtful gift.

I'm a giver.  I try hard to help people out and to match the gift to the recipient.  It's not always easy to do, but I try.

The favor was returned, in spades, this past weekend.

Out of the blue, one of my bestie friends and her daughter, also a bestie friend, gave me this.

AND they gave me this.

Both pieces match me to a tee.

My son is a roper.  I love roping bling.

And as to the Crazy?  Well, you already know.

Spot on, Suzan and Becky.

Spot on.  I LOVE the necklace and the bracelet.

I've already worn both pieces.

Now, nod for your steer and let's get outa here.

Saturday! Saturday! Saturday!

Heading out to Andrews, Texas this morning, for the Permian Basin API Scholarship Team Roping.

I'm sure I'll find some picture to take, or hear some story I'm going to have to share with you there, because you know, it's never boring around here.

Until then, enjoy your weekend!

The Boy and Reg

Thought I'd post some really neat pics of Brody's new Aussie pup,  Reginald.  Well, his real registered name  is LaReginald Eugene Jackson-Freeman-Snipes.  Don't ask, I don't have a clue.  We were at the USTRC roping in Abilene.

Brody calls him "Reg".

Reg was sitting in the stands with us.  When
he saw Brody, he jumped down and ran to the fence.

Totally happy when he's with his Brody.

Teaching him to ride on the saddle.

And to jump into his arms.

Three happy, happy beings.
Happy trails!
