Counting Rigs To Sleep

I’ve been having a sleeping problem lately.

I mean, a lack of sleep problem.
The kind where you fall into the bed, almost immediately, you’re out, heading down the lane to Napper’s House...and then, BANG!   Your eyes are wide open, your mind is clicking, and you’re making a list and checking it twice.
I’ve just had my hormones changed, settling in there, so I don’t think that’s the problem.
It could just be brain overload.
All I know is that I’m very very tired.
Exhausted.
So I thought I’d whine a minute before heading back to Napper’s House.  Thanks for having the grace to listen to me.
Sweet dreams, people.

  1. Oh, dear. This does not sound good at all. Sleepless in the oil patch! It really is a pain. (I can tell from experience.)

I appreciate your attempts to rig something that will help you down the road to sleepy time. It's too hot for you to pretend to be a Bear going into hibernation, so that won't work. Maybe you need to count the times that those mechanical donkey heads go up and down. Maybe you need to count the number of service trucks going down the road from well to well.

Sorry I cannot be more helpful. If I could be, then I would be asleep, too.

  2. I haven't been sleeping well, either, the last few nights, but I know why. And when COra gets back in two weeks, I'll sleep much better.

    1. Oh no….not you, too? I bet you will sleep better on her return. Until then, Melatonin, maybe? I do so much better when ThatManILove is home.

  7. It's like a squirrel running around and around in its cage. My thoughts race, with no outcome other than sleeplessness.

So, I've made friends with netflix.

  8. Don't you hate it when the brain refuses to just shut up? I feel for you. I hope your sleeplessness reverses soon.

  9. I was told that many successful people come up with their ideas late at night lying in bed. Now, if you can just stay awake during the day to put the ideas to good use.

  10. Your blog needs a stinkin' header girlfriend. I have one for you if you want it. Just say yes and it's yours! Sorry about the sleep issues. I tend to wake up at night whenever the dogs stir and then I'm tired all day long.
