Baby Needs A New Pair of Shoes...Really!

My husband may soon be consulting for a company that is one of my clients.
This happens sometimes (it’s a small oilfield), and when it does, it sometimes makes for lots of smack talk between the three parties - ThatManILove, his client (i.e., my client), and me.
This situation happened yesterday.  One of my old customers (he’s not old, he’s my age, but I first called on them when Elder Son was 5, and he’s 30 now, so add it up) called ThatManILove asking about his availability, and asked for his resume.
ThatManILove sent it, along with an email that went like this:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mr. Oil Company Manager (not his name), thank you for your interest and consideration of me for John Q Oil Company’s upcoming project.  As promised, I am attaching my Resume.  I look forward to further discussing this with you.
Janie says that I am certainly not busy enough and that "Baby needs a new pair of shoes".
Best Regards, Steve"
Mr.  Oil Company Manager replied:
"Thanks, I’ll get back with you soon. And we'll see about those shoes."
This cracks me up.  Wanna go shopping?
It’s never boring around here!
  3. They. Are. Beautiful. But I never go anywhere that I could wear them. They sort of look like they might prohibit running up a playground slide.
  4. I don't think OSHA approves those shoes for work in the oil fields.
    Just saying.
  8. A pair of heels has never been made that fit my feet. The box they came in was always more comfortable. But considering the fact I've NEVER inflicted pain on my tootsies, I'm over 60 and have no corns or bunions. My only claim to success.
  10. I love shoes, and I think it's because I wear tennis shoes all day, (work in a dental office) so I suffer shoe-envy! But I don't think they make shoes like that in my size, and even my feet can't squeeze into a 6! :-))) I hope you're having a good day!!!
